The dining hall is a central part of school life producing as it does, a range of nutritious and balanced meals. It is an area we are always seeking to develop and improve and the pupil voice is important in the construction and adjustment of the menus. The pupil diet committee meets once per term in order to discuss the catering provision and is overseen by a member of the senior leadership team and a nurse from the San. The results of their deliberations are fed back to the catering manager in order to fine-tune the range of food being offered.
Special diets are catered for on an individual basis in order to support those with allergies and intolerances.
The menus revolve on a three-weekly basis although the ever popular carved Sunday and Thursday roasts remain a fixture! There are also occasional themed nights with Halloween, Mexican and Chinese nights being particular favourites.
