Tour to Ireland 2007
Last term pupils from Years 5 and 6 left for a rugby and hockey tour to Dublin. Mr. Swain, Mr. Mildren, Mrs. Hoskins, Miss Simpson, Mr. Loughton, Mr. Morris and Mr. Folland all came on the tour too!
The staff and pupils had to meet at school in the morning at 6:30 am…IT WAS VERY EARLY…before travelling by coach and ferry to Dublin. There were many exciting events in store over in Ireland. These included: -
- A boys’ Rugby Match v. Willow Park…we lost unfortunately!
- A tour of the GAA Stadium in Dublin
- A girls’ Hockey Match v. King’s Hospital…we won!
- Boys’ Rugby Match v. Trinner College…we lost again!
- A tour of the Guinness Factory… the staff enjoyed this!
- Singing Christmas Carols at a Dublin Street Fair.
- A girls’ Hockey Match v. Old Alexandra’s Club…we won again!
- A visit to Dublin Zoo.
- We went Ten Pin Bowling… Charlotte R won!
We headed back on the Monday morning and finally got back to school at 7:45 pm. Everyone was very, very tired…but we had all had a GREAT TIME!
