In the Early Years we strive to give each child a strong foundation, developing skills that they will continue to draw on and develop across their time in the Prep school and beyond. |
The way that we plan, play and teach fosters a strong sense of curiosity, independence, and a love for learning right from the start, with a gentle and developmentally appropriate approach. We aim to support the children in our care both emotionally and socially as well as academically. Activities are planned with the children’s interests in mind, challenging them where appropriate and enabling them to be independent learners and thinkers. |

IvyNursery Pupil Ivy is the youngest of three, all of whom have been through our Nursery. Ivy absolutely loves our focus on learning through play. Each topic is introduced in the form of a Mind Map where the children offer their ideas, thoughts and opinions. Ivy enjoys contributing ideas and then seeing them materialise in the form of planned activities that both stimulate and challenge her. She has a wonderful imagination and creative side that is further developed by our themed role play areas, specialist music lessons and access to the dance studio as well as extensive school grounds. She is very inquisitive and loves to explore the natural world during our Wild Wonders sessions. Here she can investigate the mud kitchen, build with crates and tyres as well as plant and care for a variety of flowers and shrubs. |
