Anything is possible
Senior
We pride ourselves on the support we give pupils as they start at the senior school. Whilst this can be initially daunting, we aim to make Years 7 and 8 a fun and enjoyable time, learning new subjects and finding new friends. It is a very important and special time that can create a strong foundation for their studies at Blundell’s and stimulate their future intellectual curiosity. In Year 9 our pupils benefit from the same specialist facilities and teachers as our A-level pupils. Years 11 have a weekly enrichment programme involving a range of compulsory and optional talks. |
All the way through the school, enrichment and collaborative working is the lifeblood of our curriculum, opening pupils’ eyes to the fact that not everyone sees the world in the same way. This not only prepares our young people for higher education and the workplace beyond, but also ensures that a Blundell’s education is considered, nuanced, and provides the perfect balance for our pupils at each stage of their journey. |
PaddyYear 9, Boarder Paddy fully embodies the Blundellian values of character, service, scholarship and leadership. Since joining the Prep school in Year 6 after relocating from Hong Kong, he has embraced every challenge with determination and enthusiasm. As both an academic and sports scholar, Paddy balances excellence in the classroom with outstanding contributions to the A teams across all sports. His natural leadership and sense of unconditional service to his fellow Blundellians makes him an invaluable member of Francis House boarding community, where he supports and inspires those around him. Beyond his academic and sporting achievements, Paddy’s selfless character is evident in his willingness to help others, whether mentoring younger students or leading by example on the field. With dreams of starting his own ski equipment company, Paddy’s drive, vision, and entrepreneurial spirit reflect the very best of a Blundellian.
