A huge congratulations to Jack and Finn, Year 13, on their fantastic achievement of receiving provisional Choral Scholarship awards from Somerville College, Oxford. The process is extremely competitive and the interview in Oxford included singing a solo piece, taking aural tests and on the spot sight-singing, in front of a panel of choral directors and vocal specialists. Jack and Finn have shown a brilliant commitment to choral singing at Blundell’s over their time at the school, singing in all the major concerts and services, including confident solo performances in Mozart’s Requiem last year and in the Spring Concert, ‘Blundell’s at the Sea’.
We wish them every success with their academic applications to Oxford University later this year.
