Life in our Nursery

From the term they turn 3, your child’s learning journey at Blundell’s Prep begins in our wonderful Nursery.

The youngest children in our school take their first steps in education in our exciting and vibrant Nursery. They enjoy all aspects of school life in a happy, caring and stimulating environment and they are given every opportunity to grow, develop and flourish.

Every child here at Blundell’s Nursery is unique, with their own interests, experiences and personal qualities. We work closely with parents to ensure the happiness and well-being of every child in our care. Children are able to grow in confidence and maturity within the secure family atmosphere of Blundell’s Prep school.

Our bright, spacious Nursery provides the most welcoming and engaging environment to make your child’s first experience at school happy and stimulating. Our dedicated staff are committed to providing a caring environment where high quality play and education are used to encourage your child’s intellectual, physical, social and emotional development. Children learn best when they are having fun. Our children are given every opportunity to learn through a combination of structured play and inspirational teacher led activities Children in our Nursery have access to our secure outdoor play areas as well as our superb school grounds - perfect for woodland walks and observing changes in the weather and seasons. Being part of the whole school allows our children to benefit from the extensive facilities and resources at our fingertips. We feel strongly that the early years in a child’s education are the most important to enable a child to develop a deep, lifelong love of learning.

We therefore deliver an exciting, innovative, well-planned, rewarding Early Years Curriculum, which meets the needs of each and every child at their own pace. Most importantly, we strive for children to play and learn in a family environment, where all experiences are enjoyable, engaging and exciting.

We have extensive care for children from 8am-6pm and even some extra clubs for our Nursery children to choose from.
