Tutoring at Blundell's

As well as being under the overall care of their Housemaster or Housemistress, each Blundell’s pupil is also allocated a personal tutor.

The tutor is a member of academic staff who is attached to a particular boarding house, and who is responsible for a group of tutees within that house. The role of the tutor is varied, but their main job is to assist in the social and academic development of their tutees, in conjunction with the Housemaster or Housemistress.

Tutors are an important element of the pastoral system at Blundell’s, and perform a key role in enabling us to achieve our core pastoral objective of knowing each pupil individually, and as an individual.
