DramaDrama at Blundell’s is an inclusive and dynamic part of school life. With our own dedicated theatre, every student is encouraged to take part—whether performing, working behind the scenes, or assisting with technical production. The Drama Ambassadors Programme fosters leadership, teamwork, and confidence, with pupils involved in performance, stage management, and technical theatre. We stage three productions a year, from West End-style musicals to intimate smaller-stage performances, ensuring students of all ages can discover their passion. Our scholar’s programme provides specialist training in acting, directing, and stagecraft, alongside theatre visits to the West End, Stratford-Upon-Avon, Bristol, Bath, and Exeter, often with exclusive workshops. From lighting and sound to costume and set design, Blundell’s nurtures talent on and off the stage.

Through Duke of Edinburgh expeditions, Ten Tors challenges, and CCF leadership courses, students develop problem-solving skills, emotional intelligence, and a deep understanding of teamwork. Activities such as rock climbing, kayaking, navigation, and multi-day hikes across Dartmoor encourage students to push their limits, build confidence, and embrace new challenges.
