Life at Blundell's Prep School is a great deal more than just going to school and we warmly welcome our families to numerous events throughout the year – if nothing else, the Devon Cream Teas are worth a visit alone – cream and then jam, of course! The idyllic rural location provides the perfect backdrop for much of what we do here and we look to make the most of all that this wonderful part of the world has to offer.
The Blundell’s name is well known across the country and overseas, so it is no surprise that we attract some exceptional people when opportunities become available to join our team. Our ambitions as a school can only be met if those who work within it are fully committed to that vision, and at Blundell’s Prep we are blessed with a group of teaching and support staff who understand the importance of their contributions to the lives of every child in their care.
We are very fortunate to have a wonderfully supportive ‘Friends of Blundell’s Prep’ Committee. The committee’s mission is to organise exciting activities for parents and pupils to enjoy, and in doing so, to raise additional funds with which to contribute towards equipment or projects for the direct benefit of the children. In recent years, the Friends of Blundell's Prep (FoBP) Committee has bought an amazing pirate ship for the Pre-Prep playground, table tennis tables for the Prep children (also enjoyed by the teachers!), a 25 metre zip wire, and most recently, they have helped to make the Prep Library a warm and inviting place for the children to enjoy.
