Boys’ Hockey teams played a record 101 fixtures in total, winning 62 during the 2024 season.

Having overcome Warwick School on penalty flicks in the Quarter Final, the U13’s finished 3rd in the Independent Schools’ Cup (ISHC) after losing a tight semi-final to Whitgift (3-4) at Nottingham. The U15’s reached the ISHC Plate Finals Day and beat Alleyn’s (1-0) to 5th place after tough battles with Reed’s (0-0) and Repton (0-2) earlier in the day.

At senior level, the 2nd XI won 6 out 8 games, losing only to Millfield, while the 3rd XI claimed victories over King’s Taunton and King’s Bruton. After a very successful tour to Lisbon in October, the 1st XI had an outstanding season (P15, W10, D1, L4), with fine victories over Exeter, Sherborne, Wells Cathedral and King’s Taunton. There was also a dramatic draw at King’s Bruton as the team came back from 0-2 down with just 2 minutes left on the clock. The team also reached the 4th round of the National Schools Competition (T2) before being knocked out by Canford (3-4) in a game of superb quality and tense fluctuations. In house hockey, Old House prevailed in both the junior and senior competitions.
