Over the past two years Isobel has balanced her sporting and academic studies alongside her DofE Gold Award. Her efforts at Gold have been commendable, displaying great organisational skills and commitment. Her volunteering task was with the CCF supporting staff to deliver the varied programme to junior cadets. Her physical activity was playing and supporting the hockey team, and her skill which was 12 months perfecting her crocheting skills. Her two expeditions were conducted on Dartmoor and the Brecon Beacons, where she helped her team navigate to the summit of Pen y Fan in atrocious weather on the final day. The final part of her award was to complete a week's residential supporting an activity week for young people.
Isobel should be congratulated for her commitment and will receive her certificate at a formal awards ceremony, hopefully at Buckingham Palace!
