Our 1st XI played Sherborne boys U15bs on Saturday for a competitive game of cricket!

With a rocky start, we were 14/4 after some strong bowling by Sherborne. However, Demelza and Lizzie (Year 9 and making her debut) struck up a 40-run partnership in as many balls. Georgia came in late on to hit 28 off 21 in her final match at the school. Sherborne boys had a comfortable start to their innings with 92/5. However, a great catch from Sophie bought a surge of energy leading to Lucy's spell of bowling. She took 5 wickets for 14 runs leaving the boys all out and 5 runs short.

This was a brilliant competitive game of cricket that has set the girls up nicely for their tournament at KES Southampton with Demelza hitting 50 (retired) on the first day.
